Review: Haseen Dillruba
Netflix has
been one my best friends during these lockdown periods. I love Netflix. I
hardly watch movies, but I could not stop watching this movie on Netflix. The
title of this movie and the character, the story, all complement each other so
well. It's a complete blend of marriage, love, lust, and craziness.
This
movie reflects the essence of love, sex, and lust. The chemistry of these three
essences is very lethal. And this movie and the characters have done justice to
it. Rani and Reshu, job well done!!
This
movie also reflects the facts of arrange marriage. The movie gives us the
general view that marriages are hard to survive without sex even though there
is a sprinkle of love. Lust and physical need can push anyone to an extend
where someone ends up cheating. Is sex so important?
So
according to Wikipedia, the first evidence of attitude towards sex comes from
the ancient texts (the Vedas) of Hinduism and Buddhism. The ancient text
described "Sex is supposed to be a mutual duty between a married couple.
Where husband and wife pleasured each other equally and was supposed to be a
private affair". Let's face the reality, it is not so private anymore.
People have options and various ways to make sure their sexual needs are taken
care of. It's not a wrong thing it just shows that we have passed those times
where we used to be uncomfortable talking and writing or even expressing about
sex. Everyone has the right to express their physical needs. But in that
process, someone does get hurt, and this movie gives a fair idea of pain, deep
insane love, betrayal, and madness.
Most of
these relationships are lust, infatuation and are part of fantasies and, that's
why we end up having relationships, like string no attach, friends with
benefits. These relations do not last for long. The end result of these types
of relationships is sometimes dangerous and regretful. By the time we realize
it's too late. This movie did give a clear picture about it.
But it
does raise a question if a woman cheats and accepts her mistake, will men
forgive the woman? In the real world!! I am not so sure. But this movie answers
the other possibility, that things can be different. Reshu did forgive Rani,
and they fell in love again and more than ever that at the end he chopped off
his hand to save her from the police. It's a rare relationship let say one in a
million...
Overall,
the movie is a 5-star movie for me... The story, the performance, the
characters it's a whole package deal. Till the end, you will keep thinking and
asking yourself... Who is the killer? And honestly, the answer is pretty
shocking... And I believe it serves the purpose of watching this movie... Love
and Lust can either make you or Break you.. "THE END"
This
movie has everything as promised!!! Love, Lust, Comedy, Thriller!!!
Must
Watch...👍
